Upon our arrival in Meknes, we will check in to one of its best Riads, and visit its Medina, full of life, where the artisans and merchants show off their best products.
DAY 2: MEKNES – MERZOUGA
After our breakfast we will be heading south. Today shall be the day we will travel the most. Our lunch spot will be in Er- Rachidia, where we can find the river Ziz, one of the most mind-blowing views of Morocco. As we carry on with our journey and as the sun goes down the landscape turns to a gold colour, as we arrive to the desert of Merzouga, where we will also find our hotel for the night.
DAY 3 MERZOUGA
After thinking that nothing could exceed last nights sun set, we were wrong, as today will be a special day form dusk until dawn. After having breakfast, it will be time for a 4×4 adventure with our skilled drivers, that will take you to visit nomadic families, where we will be offered tea and be taught about their way of life.
This shall be followed by a ride through the sand dunes, did you think out Paris- dakkar vehicles were only used for the desert? Our trained drivers will make this one of your best 4×4 experiences.
Time to relax as we arrive at a near by village called Khamlia, to listen to Gnawa music, played by people descendants of the slaves, a gift to our ears. And now the palate, todays lunch will be different, very different, but very nice. After free time, we shall go on a camel ride at sunset through the desert to arrive to our campsite, dinner will be served and we shall spend the night in a luxurious tent.
DAY 4 MERZOUGA- ER- RACHIDIA
Wake up in the middle of the desert, another of our big moments of the trip. After breakfast we shall return to the hotel with our 4×4 vehicles, and we will commence our journey to Er- Rachidia.
Our first stop of the day shall be at the famous Rissani market, this market is very original, also the place where u can buy the best dates in Morocco.
Another place where we will be heading today is through the palms of the river Ziz, one of the biggest ones in the world. This will also be our stopping point for lunch and where a hiking route will take place. Our hotel- Riad will be in this magical place.
DAY 5 ER- RACHIDIA- FEZ
After our breakfast we will start our trip to Ifran, it will be a day full of the most unbelievable contrasts you have ever seen, to the point you will not believe that you are still in Morocco, we will have passed from the Sahara desert to the forest in the same day. We will visit the cedar woods of Azrou and the macaques. From Azrou we will take just an hour to the to the mythical city of Fez, where we will be taken to see its famous square of tanners, the impressive medina and the Real palace. After, we will have free time, ideal to buy some gifts!
This evening we will be able to enjoy a special meal full off fantasy and music in one of the palaces of the medina.
Day 6 Fez- Tarifa
The last day of our trip has arrived, so we shall return to the city where we started, here we will stop for lunch and head for the port. This shall be where our journey ends, and with us we will take many beautiful memories of moments lived with the people whom have showed us their country, Morocco, and the beauty it entails, a place full of amazing food, lovely people and a varied cultural richness.
